End of first day back! We survived...

U.S. History: We went over the first section of Chapter 16 again. My 3rd and 6th period class also received notes that I made for you over section one (my first period class will get them tomorrow!). Your HW is to go to http://www.pbs.org/race/002_SortingPeople/002_00-home.htm and complete the "Sorting People" Activity and then write 4 sentences about how many you got wrong and anything that surprised you. Also look over section two for tomorrow.

World History: We started looking at section one of Ch. 19. Your HW was to complete 1-5 of the first section review of Ch. 19. This is due tomorrow!

AP US History: We discussed several items related to the exam and important upcoming dates. You all discussed and planned the first study group which is this Saturday at Sherrod from 2pm-4pm. I encouraged you to (if you ahven't already) gather your materials in a binder so you can come prepared for the study group. Your Ch. 32 workbooks are due tomorrow, and I will be going over the questions I handed out to you (the "Appyling what you have learned" questions from your workbook). You don't have to complete those questions, just be prepared to discuss them.

I know you all are still in an intercession state of mind, so thank you for your focus today! :)

Email or text me with any questions!

Libya & Japan

Hello all!

Did you know that the U.S. and other allies are bombing Libya?
Here's the latest:

Also, at least 21,000 people are missing or dead in Japan as a result of the quake.
Here is a central link too many stories related to this disaster:

I want us to discuss these events in class on Wednesday.
See you then.

Last Saturday before we return to school

Hello world! This is my first time creating a blog. I plan on updating this everyday during the work week and once over the weekend. I will briefly review what material we covered in class, any assignments or upcoming projects you should be aware of, and any other information I feel would help you learn! Sometimes I may also include just plain funny or interesting things as well. As always if you have any questions feel free to email or text me. My email is braggj@etsu.edu and my cell number is 423-737-0856. (Please keep in mind that when you communicate with me outside of school it must remain relevant to school work or school activities.)

I can't believe we have to return to school on Wednesday! Hasn't this break flown by too quickly? On a sad note, have you all been keeping up with the events in Japan? Here is a link if you have not:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/03/18/japan.disaster/index.html

Also, keep up with the events unfolding in Libya as well. Here's the latest news today:
http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/03/19/libya.civil.war/index.html

I think this a great first time post for my first blog! See you all soon....
